We recently caught up with Shop Adorn, a contemporary boutique in Portland that sports local flavor as well as the latest trends. They have been growing rapidly this past season with over a third of regulars redeeming points as well as recommending the store via Facebook and Twitter.

Shop Adorn was started by Nicole Whitesell who has over 10 years of fashion merchandising experience. She has an eye for what she likes and wanted to provide customers of all shapes with clothing that fits and flatters their specific body type. She signed up her business with Perkville after a fire in January left her store bare.

“We started from scratch and found two POS systems that we liked.  Our customers were used to a rewards program so we knew we had to have one.  That is why we went with MerchantOS,” said Nicole. “We don’t use iPads to log customers in.  Perkville runs in the background and syncs with MerchantOS. We ask all our customers if they are a part of our rewards program when they checkout,” said Debbie Davis, the store manager.

“One thing that really got customers excited was at our last event we posted that if we got 100 RSVP’S to our grand re-opening party, everyone would get DOUBLE POINTS.  I was amazed at the excitement and feedback we got from this promotion. Our customers LOVE OUR PERKS!” said Nicole.

Shop Adorn also has an online store where new arrivals are announced every Thursday (most of the store’s merchandise is available for purchase online). “Stay tuned because the next Perkville promotion may include free shipping,” said Nicole.
